2014 Creative Living: A Selected

Introduction:
It's an exhibition that pursues one-of-a-kind designs instead of unmatched quantity. It's an exhibition that stresses artistry of ceramics and "going beyond the fine arts". It's an exhibition in which the word "products" fits items on display better than "artworks" and where those exhibits have to be not only "pretty" but also "useful". What kind of exhibition would ask for a list of such unusual requirements.

The Creative Living: 2014 A Selected Exhibition of New Ceramic Works is to let audience find out so-called ceramics in the museums are not longer exhibits which can only be admired from a distance but not to be touched up close. Those ceramic exhibits are actually approachable, fun and witty. They are whimsical but in the meanwhile able to blend in everyday life. Ceramic materials' wide application, deep connection with people's daily life, and unlimited room for creativity are all presented in the Selected Exhibition of New Ceramic Works. Ceramic products become a symbol of attitude toward living and pursuit when people are no longer satisfied with mere functionality but instead demand creativity, taste, imagination and a sense of happiness. It is hoped that ceramics that is rich in life and culture will become an integral part of people's lives.
